Pınar Kayışoğlu

She graduated from Pamukkale University, Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance in 2012. She has been working as a psychological counselor for nine years. She has been vegan for three years. She shares the same house with five cats. She is currently an MA student in the Anthropology Graduate Program at Istanbul University. She is interested in the research of activism and how it relates to anthropology. She is looking for ways to turn these research fields into vegan activism. She also wants to conduct field research to investigate speciesism, which is a hegemonic system, in the daily and ritualized experiences of people. She has contributed to many actions and activities in the animal rights movement for three years and continues to be actively involved in this movement. She describes herself as an animal rights activist on the street, on social media and in her personal life. She believes in integrated struggles in terms of rights. Since the establishment of the Vegan Parade, she continues to engage in activism.
