The Animal Rights and Ethics Association was founded in 1988. Its goal is to protect the rights of all sentient animals and create societal understanding that animals are individuals. It advocates for the eradication of speciesism and anthropocentrism, protecting the right to live without segregating between species and race. The Association’s work focuses on the impeachment of animal rights, which are rooted in anthropocentrism and speciesism, and that also encompass humans.

The Association carries out legal struggles, lobbying initiatives, research, and works in cooperation with other teams to ensure that animal rights laws are changed for the benefit of the animals.
