The Animal Rights Watch Committee (HAKIM) is a civil initiative established by vegan animal freedom activists in 2014. Its goals are to engage in activities to ensure that animals with sensory abilities and emotions have their rights protected and to create awareness that animals are individuals. HAKIM compiles, archives, monitors, and reports on animal rights violations, regardless of species, in order to achieve its objectives. It shares these reports with the public, carries out legal struggles against violations, and establishes relations with parliament and bureaucratic institutions to advocate for laws that protect animals. Moreover, HAKIM conducts educational activities with children and young people to raise awareness and cooperates with different groups and activists to improve the animal rights struggle.
